Personal Lines Insurance - Assistant Account Manager

Summary: 

Acrisure has been named the fastest growing insurance brokerage firm three years in a row by Business Insurance Magazine.  We have over 200 locations across the US and continue to grow every month.  To fuel that growth we have another exciting opportunity as a Personal Lines Insurance Assistant Account Manager with Wine Sergi, and Acrisure Agency Partner. 

This position is responsible for providing administrative support in obtaining, maintaining, expanding and maintaining excellent relationships between Clients, Customer Service Managers, producers and insurers. The ideal candidate will be experienced in servicing, retention, sales and rounding of Personal Insurance accounts, according to agency procedures and standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Handle complex accounts. Analyze customer complaints and offer recommended solutions.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers.
  • Prepare review letters on an annual basis, offering recommendations to customers based on analysis of clients’ insurance needs.
  • Communicate changes or adjustments in policies to clients.
  • Understanding of contracts, carrier products, coverage forms and underwriting guidelines.
  • Knowledge and ability to work on multiple carrier rating programs.
  • Work to ensure that the agency retention goal is met.
  • Proactively analyze and call on customers to explain policies, offer recommendations or additional lines of coverage.
  • Offer information about additional products and services available through insurance carriers.
  • Solicit and process additional lines of coverage for current customers.
  • Provide additional information on Personal Insurance Products and Services to fill gaps in coverage.
  • Offer information on products and service as well as quoting for all lines of coverage to prospective customers.
  • Work with other insurance divisions within agency to cross sell individual insurance as well as benefits and business insurance.
  • Customize insurance programs to suit individual needs of prospective customers and ensure that all policy requirements are met.
  • Remain informed regarding industry information, new product information, and continuing education. 
  • Take client calls and emails in order to provide customer service and address all questions and concerns of customers.
  • Modify, update, and process existing policies for customers to reflect any change in insurance coverage and/or premiums.
  • Follow-up on cancellation and billing issues.
  • Complete forms such as Evidence of Insurance, Applications, Auto ID Cards and Cancellation Forms.
  • Correspond with insured or agent to obtain information or inform the account status or changes of customers.
  • Maintain strong relationship with customers and insurance carriers.
  • Solicit and process additional lines of coverage for existing clients.
  • Provide basic information on Personal Insurance Products and Services and direct clients accordingly.
  • Remain informed regarding industry information, new product information, and continuing education.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Possess active Illinois Property & Casualty License or willing and able to obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • Minimum 2 years Personal Lines experience required.

Computer Skills:

  • Computer skills including Excel and Word.
  • Working knowledge of Applied Epic is a plus.

Other Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service skills including personal communication, written communication and phone communication.
  • Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects.
  • Ability to function in a fast-pasted environment.
  • Proactive in dealing with clients, carriers and producers.
  • An energetic self-starter, who works well in a highly automated, fast paced, team environment.
