Receptionist

Summary: Acrisure has been named the fastest growing insurance brokerage firm three years in a row by Business Insurance Magazine.  We have 100 locations across the US and continue to grow every month.  To fuel that growth we have another exciting opportunity as a receptionist with the Hayes Insurance agency, an Acrisure Agency Partner. 

This position provides outstanding customer service by greeting guests, operating the switchboard by relaying all external and interoffice calls, and facilitating incoming and outgoing mail, email and faxes, and by performing all essential duties and responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Exercise courteous and prompt customer service in all interactions with visitors, vendors, clients, and employees
  • Uses switchboard to answer, screen, and route outside calls while providing basic information when needed.
  • Listen to and forward any recorded messages.
  • Receives visitors, obtains name and nature of business.
  • Performs clerical duties such as typing, proofreading, filing, and copying.
  • Receive incoming mail, opens and distributes.Prepares outgoing mail.
  • Supply information to callers and records messages.
  • Provide assistance to insurance brokers with routine tasks.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or the recognized equivalent is required.

Computer Skills:

  • Basic PC skills including Word, Excel and Outlook Explorer are required.

Other Qualifications:

  • Must be organized, detail oriented, and efficient with excellent verbal and written communications skills and the ability to effectively work with others. 
  • Needs to have the desire to learn and gain knowledge in the field of insurance.  
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise. 
  • Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond appropriately to different personality types.
