Human Resources Assistant - Part Time

Summary: 

Acrisure has been named the fastest growing insurance brokerage firm three years in a row by Business Insurance Magazine.  We have more than 200 locations across the US and continue to grow every month.  To fuel that growth we have another exciting opportunity as a Human Resources Assistant that will assist HR in carrying out various human resource activities while providing outstanding customer service. This position is part time and will work an average of 20 hours per week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process employment verifications
  • Set up and order Labor Law Posters as needed
  • Compile, copy and mail appropriate new Agency packets and/or new hire and open enrolment materials.
  • Scanning and processing documents for retention purposes
  • Audit all paperwork for accuracy and compliance and recordkeeping purposes
  • Maintains personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or the recognized equivalent in education and experience required
  • 2 years of general office background required and one year human resources experience preferred.

Computer Skills:

  • PC skills including Excel, Word, Outlook Explorer, the internet and the agency HRIS and other management systems

Other Qualifications:

  • Must be organized, and detail oriented with excellent verbal and written communications skills;
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude is necessary to deal with a large variety of personalities.

  • Moderate stress due to regular deadlines and daily challenges; 
  • High finger dexterity while typing documents and forms;
