Sr. Regulatory Affairs Specialist

Summary:

To fuel that growth, Acrisure is looking to supplement its team with an opportunity for a Sr. Regulatory Affairs Specialist in its Regulatory Affairs Department who possesses an attention to detail, who is highly organized, and who can apply critical thinking in the performance of their job function to support the team.  This position will assist the Regulatory Affairs’ team in providing regulatory services of varying complexity that require the use of good judgment, analytical reasoning, robust interpersonal communication, and sound problem-solving skills. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains confidences and protects operations by maintaining a high degree of confidentiality with all sensitive information and assigned tasks;
  • Works with the Regulatory Affairs team to perform one or more of the following functions from time to time:  ensure compliance with the company’s asset transfer policies and procedures; support process initiatives according to company policies and procedures; and cultivate professional relationships with insurance carriers and agency partners by utilizing verbal and written communication consistently to proactively manage relationships and reactively to troubleshoot business considerations/complexities; 
  • Possesses strong organizational and computing skills, including Microsoft Office, specifically, Word and Excel;
  • Demonstrates excellent time management skills as well as prioritization skills; and
  • Assists leadership with tasks that may arise from time to time.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher is required (JD highly desirable) (equitable work experience will be accepted)
  • Project management, mergers and acquisitions, and compliance experience helpful
  • Minimum of two years in insurance/financial industries or in a law firm/in-house legal department with comparable exposure or corporate business exposure is required.

Other Qualifications:

  • Must be able to work independently yet enjoy a high degree of interaction with team members
  • Must be self-motivated and driven
  • Must communicate effectively – both in writing and orally
